About George Leamey
George Leamey is a financial expert and is well-practiced in funds management. He is the owner and operator of Kobo International and has decades of experience in the financial industry. Currently, George Leamey is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. However, his work has taken him all over the world and will likely continue to do so.
As a funds manager, George Leamey feels strongly about finding the best ways to bring his investors the highest return on their investments. Likewise, George strives to invest in renewable and efficient ventures and techniques. This is because George Leamey has learned the value of these practices and has found that by investing in them, he can increase returns and overall value. This is a lesson for any aspiring investor or financial advisor.
George Leamey worked hard to get to where he is today. That includes time spent obtaining an education. George attended RMIT University, where he obtained two degrees. The first was a Bachelor of Engineering, and the second was his MBA. This gave him the tools necessary to continue pursuing his ventures and goals. Since then, George Leamey has landed several exciting roles within the industry. For example, in 2019, he signed on as the Managing Director of JAC Limited, a Singapore-based company.
This experience gave George Leamey the confidence to launch his own company, Kobo International, a consultancy business. Kobo International is an Australian company that specializes in the manufacturing industry. George is the owner and operator of Kobo International, making it his responsibility to handle all critical business functions, such as funds management, planning, and oversight. With George at the helm, Kobo International has been running for over twenty years.
It is worth noting that Kobo International is one of three projects currently taking up George Leamey’s attention. The second is Emerge Global Services. At Emerge Global Services, George Leamey is a National Business Consultant and the South East Asia Investment Specialist. As such, he is responsible for international business investor relations, reporting to the Board on matters and agriculture investments.
Turning a passion into a profession is something that many people dream about – but few succeed in doing. Yet that is precisely what George Leamey managed to do in his third venture – Octane Expeditions. Formally known as ORAT, Octane Expeditions offers off-road adventure tours and bike rides. The company has been around for over five years, with George acting as the Marketing Manager. Octane Expeditions enables clients to travel the world, typically in remote destinations. It’s the sort of vacation you won’t get from your typical tour guides. One recent tour George Leamey hosted was Hattah: Into the Sunset Ralley, which took clients through the Murray Sunset Desert Region. Octane Expeditions proves that anyone can turn a hobby into a career, but only if they stick with it.
Adventure bike riding isn’t George Leamey’s only passion. He also loves to play golf and go four-wheel driving. As such, he owns a Toyota 80 series Landcruiser with a GM 6.2 Super Charge V8.
